Explore Mont Tremblant: Infrastructure Upgrades and Scenic Adventures

Mont Tremblant experience

In the summer of 2022, Station Mont Tremblant embarked on a significant infrastructure project, investing approximately $3.6 million to enhance the mountain’s facilities. This ambitious venture aims to replace the sewer and aqueduct pipes stretching from the base of the South Side to the mountain’s summit, covering a distance of about 3 kilometers. Additionally, the project includes upgrading the snowmaking pipes from the Flying Mile base to mid-mountain, spanning roughly 2 kilometers. These improvements are crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of the services provided to visitors, ensuring that the Grand Manitou at the summit remains operational throughout the construction period.

The project commenced on May 2 and is scheduled to run until July 22, with a final phase planned for mid-October to complete sewer and water connections post-summer. During this time, the hiking trails network will be affected, but maps and directional signs will be installed to guide hikers safely. Regular updates will be provided to minimize inconvenience and enhance the overall guest experience.

The first week of the project saw the installation of snow pipes between the Flying Mile chairlift and the Roy Scott slope entrance. Reconstruction efforts included the rock wall next to the Luge trail, following the temporary removal of snow pipes at the bottom of the Roy Scott trail and the Équilibre 2 magic carpet. As the week progressed, drilling in the rock was planned at the exit of the Bière-en-Bas slope towards Beauvallon Bas, with continued rock drilling and snow removal from the Luge trail in front of the Ski Club building. The week concluded with blasting near the start of the Luge trail and between the Bière-en-Bas and Beauvallon Bas slopes, alongside the installation of sewer and water pipes in the Roy Scott slope and erosion control measures in the Équilibre 2 area.
